Portfolio Fine Art has been in the art business for over 30 years, providing high-quality printing for a selection of artists and photographers using a range of styles and media – embracing established and emerging artists alike.
Having worked with many artists over the years, Portfolio Fine Art is uniquely positioned to offer an exceptional service. 4walls was delighted to hear that this service includes prioritising sustainability, particularly when choosing mouldings, and it is a huge part of the company ethos to ensure that the materials and suppliers they use play a part in protecting and maintaining the natural environment.
“As a fine art publisher we always strive to meet our clients’ high expectations by using the best quality materials, including wood, mouldings, canvas and paper. For this reason, we prefer to use Larson-Juhl products for the majority of our artists.”
The team are finding that more and more of their artists are also working to secure the future of our planet in any way that they can, be it sourcing their own pigments and mixing their own paints to simply recreating the fragile beauty of the natural world.
“Larson-Juhl has an outstanding track record in working ethically, from the raw materials they use to the people they work with. With sustainability at the forefront, they use FSC and PEFC certified moulding and mountboard, so we are reassured of ethically sourced timber. Our artists also appreciate that the quality and range of mouldings available is not compromised and to a very high standard, it is fantastic to see!”
Andy Craig, one of the artists represented by Portfolio Fine Art, said: “I feel sustainability is incredibly important, there are so many aspects. Our environment and nature won't sustain itself forever but hopefully. one day soon, everyone will decide to really pull together, and we'll see a brighter future for the human race.”
